Ummm…there’s some weird videos popping up on YouTube and wait is that James Charles?!

What’s up y’all? It’s Emile Ennis Jr. here with Clevver News and I have some questions this morning. So, I spend a lot of time on YouTube, not just hosting here on Clevver, but also just casually browsing. Anyway, yesterday something popped up in my recommended that had me shook. There was a video of a young boy singing that looks a lot like James Charles.

So this YouTube account is called JaysCoding and y’all, this appears to actually be James Charles’ first YouTube account. First of all, why is this popping up in my recommended 7 years after it was originally posted. Second of all, these videos entertained me far too much and I’m so grateful to YouTube for popping this in my feed.

So the channel only has 10 videos and was started in September 7, 2010. On the about page it says, “Hai! I'm A Mario Kart Wii Player (: Just so you know, I'm 11 🙂

This adds up because James just turned 20. This is wild y’all. It goes on to say his name is iJamess and he’s a quote, “GFX and Web Designer.” So that explains the whole JaysCoding name. Anyway, I’m not the only one that is confused. On one of his videos, a commenter said, “youtube is really out here exposing everyone with their recommendations LMAO”

Another one said, “YouTube is funny af for putting this in everyone’s recommendations”

Before we continue, let’s look at another video shall we.

It looks like people are slowly discovering JaysCoding and I could scroll through the comments all day. There’s one video where James says he’s been getting a lot of requests to do a singing video too and the reactions to that intro are gold.

One person said, “Loads of requests he hasn’t changed, he’s still singing when no one asked.” We all have embarrassing stuff out there in the past, but nobody was expecting to see these old videos of James and if YouTube didn’t recommend this, we probably never would have known it existed.
Just one week ago, the most viewed video was up to 10K. Now his “Pumped Up Kicks” cover has over 1 million views. And of course we couldn’t leave out this special Halloween message from a young James.

One of the top comments says, “Wow I feel honored being a Mexican homie”

JaysCoding aka young James Charles also had a twitter account where he was very active.

He liked hanging out with his friends.

I could go down this rabbit hole all day, but I can’t wait for James to talk about this channel and maybe react to old JaysCoding videos.

Anyway, I want to know what you think! Do you think that YouTube is being shady by putting this in people’s reccommended?! And do you think James will address these old videos. Let us know all your thoughts in the comment section below! Also, did you know we post videos every single day?! You should subscribe right over here so you get updates. And click the bell so you get notified every time we post! Thanks for watching and hanging with me on Clevver News and I’ll see you next time.
